Our privacy principles

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Platinum Financial Enterprises LLC ("we," "our," or "us"), operating RatioPro, collects, uses, and protects your information. We are based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and RatioPro is our personal finance product for consumers.

2. What we collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account information: name, email address, password (hashed)
• Contact information: mobile phone number (only if you opt in to SMS)
• Financial information you enter: credit card names, balances, credit limits, APRs, statement dates, income (if you provide it)
• Payment information: billing details processed by our payment processor (we do not store credit card numbers)
• Communications: emails, SMS, and support conversations

Information collected automatically:

• Device information: browser type, operating system, IP address
• Usage information: pages viewed, features used, timestamps
• Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 8)

What we do NOT collect:

• Bank credentials — RatioPro is manual-entry only. We never ask for bank logins.
• Actual credit reports from bureaus (unless you specifically upload one)
• Social Security numbers
• Physical location beyond what's needed for account setup

3. How we use your information

We use your information solely to:

• Provide the RatioPro service (calculate ratios, generate plans, send reminders)
• Communicate with you about your account
• Send SMS messages you have opted in to receive
• Process payments for paid subscriptions
• Improve the Service (using aggregated, anonymized data only)
• Comply with legal obligations
• Prevent fraud and abuse

We do not use your information to:

• Sell to advertisers
• Build advertising profiles
• Share with credit bureaus, lenders, or credit repair companies (except at your explicit request)

4. Mobile information sharing

No mobile information sharing. Platinum Financial Enterprises LLC is committed to protecting your privacy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile information collected in connection with our SMS program (phone numbers, opt-in status, message content) is used solely to operate the SMS program and provide the RatioPro service to you.

5. How we share information

We share your information only with:

• Service providers: payment processors (Stripe), SMS providers (Twilio), email service providers (Resend), cloud hosting (Netlify, Supabase) — each bound by contractual obligations to protect your data
• Legal compliance: when required by law, court order, or valid legal process
• Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale, users will be notified in advance
• With your consent: when you specifically direct us to share information

6. Data retention

We retain your data as long as you have an active account. When you delete your account:

• Personal information is permanently deleted within 30 days
• Financial data (card information, plans) is permanently deleted immediately
• Some information may be retained if legally required (billing records for tax purposes)
• Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytical purposes

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access: request a copy of the information we hold about you
• Correct: update inaccurate information
• Delete: request deletion of your account and data
• Export: receive your data in a portable format (CSV, JSON)
• Opt out: unsubscribe from SMS (reply STOP) or email at any time
• Object: object to specific uses of your data

8. Cookies and tracking

We use minimal cookies:

• Essential cookies: required for the app to function (login, session)
• Preference cookies: remember your settings
• Analytics: aggregated usage data (via privacy-respecting analytics)

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party marketing pixels.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

• TLS encryption for all data in transit
• AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest
• Access controls limiting employee access to user data
• Regular security audits and monitoring
• SOC 2 Type II certification in progress

Despite our best efforts, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's privacy

RatioPro is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we learn we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it immediately.

11. California residents (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before taking effect.
